Why choose Marla as your therapist?
There are more than 10,536 therapists in Michigan. Why choose me?
Life Edit Therapy was born out of a desire to create a practice that reflects what I deeply value both professionally and personally. The result? A huge step away from the conventional big-box clinical approach and one giant step toward a more authentic, personalized experience for each individual or couple.
Grounded and sturdy.
You get a therapist who is rested, fully present, and interested in meeting with you because I tend to my needs and make my emotional, physical, spiritual, and relational health a priority.
Books, podcasts, mentors, oh my! I’m constantly learning.
Because learning is a daily ritual, you will benefit as I gain more insights and hone my craft as a therapist. This rests nicely on a foundation of solid academic and clinical training.
It’s a mixture of science and real-life.
Together we’ll talk about the real-life struggles and we’ll consider science-based approaches so that you can better understand and navigate the difficult or confusing parts of life.
I’m not a spring chicken - there’s some real-life experience.
So, it’s been a few decades since I was born and I have a lot of life experience. More importantly, I’ve spent time with mentors and therapists learning about and redeeming the painful parts of my story resulting in hard-won life insights that may be of help to you.
I set limits that benefit you.
Because I limit the number of clients I see and place the focus on creating space for you instead of overextending myself, you have a well-rested and invested therapist.
Lucy was our beloved Goldendoodle rescue and her life made a forever mark on me.
There’s a dog.
My furry sidekick Archer is a faithful companion and an epic listener (when he’s not sleeping). You may hear him snoring or gnawing his favorite bone on occasion but don’t mind him - he’s HIPAA compliant.
Archer was rescued from Almost Home Animal Rescue. If you’re considering adding to your furever family, I invite you to consider a rescue.
